Privacy
What this site keeps, and what it does not.
This page describes how Mémoire, at memoire-marketing.com, handles the information a visitor gives it. It is short because the site collects very little.
The brief form
The only place this site asks you for anything is the form on the Start a project page. It asks for your name and your email address, and it offers space for a company name, a website address, the kind of work you have in mind, the language of the work, and the brief itself. Name, email and the brief are required; the rest is optional and helps us reply well.
When you press the button, the form is relayed to the studio mailbox by FormSubmit, a form-relay service, which turns the fields into an email addressed to [email protected]. FormSubmit handles the submission in order to deliver it and has its own privacy terms; we do not use it for anything else. Once the email arrives, what you wrote is held in the studio's mailbox and used for one purpose: replying to you and, if a project follows, running it. It is not added to a mailing list, and there is no mailing list.
We keep briefs for as long as the conversation they started is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to it. If you would like a brief deleted sooner, write to the mailbox and it will be.
The one preference kept in your browser
On a first visit the site shows a small notice asking whether you accept analytics and performance measurement. Whatever you answer, the site writes a single entry to your browser's local storage under the key mem_consent_v1. That entry records your choice and the time you made it, so the notice does not appear again on that browser. It is a stored preference, not a cookie, and it is never sent anywhere.
Here is the part worth reading twice: at the time of writing, nothing on this site reads that preference. No analytics tool, tag manager, advertising pixel or measurement script is installed, whichever answer you gave, and the site sets no cookies of its own. The preference exists so that your choice is already recorded if measurement is ever added; if that day comes, this page will change to say what was added and what it does.
You can change or clear the preference at any time by clearing site data for memoire-marketing.com in your browser; the notice will then appear again.
Requests the site makes to other servers
The two typefaces the site is set in are loaded from a hosted font service at the addresses fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from those addresses, and the service sees that request in the ordinary way any web server does. Nothing else on the site calls out to a third party.
Selling or sharing
We do not sell personal information, and we have no arrangement under which it is shared for value. The only parties that see a brief are the two people at the studio, the relay service that delivers it, and the mail provider that hosts the mailbox.
Your rights
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to receive a copy; to have inaccurate information corrected; to have it deleted; to receive it in a portable form; and to object to how it is processed. Because our only basis for holding a brief is that you sent it to us and asked for a reply, objecting to that processing means we stop replying, which we will do if you ask.
If you are a resident of California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information a business has collected about you, to have it deleted, to opt out of its sale — we sell none — and not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.
To use any of these rights, write to [email protected] from the address you used on the form, or tell us which address that was. We answer within the time the relevant law allows, and usually much sooner. No account, no form, no fee.
Children
This site is for companies and the people who run them. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen, and a brief that appears to come from a child is deleted rather than answered.
Changes to this page
If the way the site handles information changes — most likely if measurement is added — this page is rewritten first, and the date at the top of it changes. We do not announce revisions by email, because we hold no list to announce them to.
